Makes sense with Rebels this year and a new movie (also franchise) next year.

Not much reason to continue EU figures, especially since Hasbro has done such a horrible job with the brand in the past year.

I've always meant to make a full EU specific list of figures Hasbro has done since 1996. I guess 18 years worth isn't bad.

Though to me Disney's need to reinvent the wheel is questionable at best.

It certainly makes it harder for tracking down Jacen and Jaina at a reasonable price, the moritorium on EU re-releases results in secondary market price gouging more than likely.

Ah well, just means I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for good deals.

Word now is that apparently some EU figures(specifically those from The Old Republic) are going to see another release at some point in the near future. So maybe this statement was only true from a certain point of view

Far from the only depressing news in that Q&A

Maybe they'll end up in the movie line anyway like how you see all the "comic versions" and (insert crazy gimmick here) characters in the Marvel movie lines.
