Showing up in Zellers stores across Quebec and Ontario at the price point of $12.99, the Marvel Universe Battle Two-Packs have hit Canadian retail. These 2-packs consist of Iron Man vs. Black Panther, Iron Man vs. Punisher, Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin and Wolverine vs. Hand Ninja. Thanks to AFN member 4lott for the initial report.

What the bleep... who thinks up this garbage? My pegs still have plenty of these specific characters on basic card. They should've made X-Men or Avengers 2-packs, not these pegwarmer candidates.

Well Punisher and Black Panther are "new" or rather built on new bodies. The Daredevil base body I believe. With new parts, heads and BP's cape. And that MU Wolverine body hasn't been released in a tiger stripe deco yet.

Saw these a couple months ago in the states. They fubar'd Punisher. Again. This time he looks like part of his face is caved in. How hard is it to just take one of many Duke head sculpts, paint his hair black and shove it on a basic MU body?

Haha I completely agree with this. I think i read somewhere that they dont have access to the current joe pieces but im sure there is a random head laying around that has been long since retired, that would work.

I dunno, I think the 2 packs are a great deal for people like me who just started collecting. Especially at $12.99, that's the same price as states (picked up all 4 when I was down there last month).

The head sculpt on the Spidey is probably the best one (better portioned with bigger eyes), and both Punisher and Wolverine (too bad he doesn't come with fists instead) look like the designs I remembered from the 90s X-Men cartoon.
