Why are Transformers so cheap in canada?

I was comparing prices on some figures I am missing and was crazy surprised to find that here in canada at TRU our Deluxe Figures are 11.99$ in the states 22.99$
Almost double price!?!?! Plus we just had a sale for 30% off this week and last week. so 9$ CAD for Deluxe figs.
Thats insane its almost worth it to smuggle them over to our southern brothers!

Let's take into effect here first that the price for a deluxe right now is 11.99 cause they are clearing out cw before Titans return. Deluxes were 19.99 or higher in someplaces. Vovagers at Walmart went to 34.99 but now because they overstocked on them they are at 15 bucks to make room. I have never seen a deluxe retail wise 22.99 in the states. I'm pretty sure we'd hear their whining from here.

Justy type deluxe transformers. They are 19$ right now because of sale but normally priced at 23$

No, they were not $9CAN last week for the 30% off sale. That sale applied only to TF that were $14.99 and up. I bought some Deluxes at my TRU last week and they were $11.99+tax, which is fine, I consider that to be below their original 25% off sale price anyway and was happy to pay it.

The only reason they are so cheap in Canada is that they permanently lowered the price for CW to get them off the shelves. The same thing happened with the old generation deluxes once CW came around.

I assure you the Titan Returns deluxes are going to be absurdly expensive once they hit the shelves.
