Was there around noon. Merrik and Pre Vizsla are gone, DAMN!
Guess I'll just have to wait for my preorder to go through.
But I did get a Holiday Snowtrooper.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
Pre Vizsla and Merrik are probably only found at those new toysrus stores. But has anyone tried the older stores to see if they have them in stock?

I guess now we know which province in Canada the a-hole swappers do their dirtiest work. I'd be interested in hearing from other Ontario collectors as to whether their TRU is more like Vancouver or like my local shop.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
theres not enough collectors and product anyone wants in my city to see much figure swapping. ive yet to see swapping at my tru and have only seen swapping like 3 times at my walmarts. im in ontario, brampton. im guessing all the swapping happens east of me? cause when i was out east hunting a few times i saw alot of shady stuff in those stores. not to mention when i watch hunt videos taking place there i see quite a few swaps.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion
They made odd choices on these releases.
Morgan should have come with her sword thing, even if they had to wait a bit.
Ezra should have been the show version, even if again they waited a few months.

Hasbro's goal is not to make collecting as efficient as they can for the fans. It is to sell as many toys as they can. So they'll obviously release another Morgan, with sword, and maybe face paint, so that they can get more profit from the mold. Same with Ezra, except that will require an all-new mold. Besides, they weren't going to let the hype of the show pass, just so they could release the "correct" figure after the show aired. That's not how the toy industry works. They release the mistakes, then re-release corrected versions. And we buy them anyway.

I feel like 'we' are kinda in this groundhog day type situation where Hasbro keeps doubling down on the same mistakes over and over expecting a different outcome.
Obviously they produce a lot of popular, quality figures as well. I am by no means saying they are a complete screw up. But I don't feel they are above critique.
Ollies in the USA is an excellent example of what is and is not selling.
Is it really that henious a suggestion to say, "I wish they did this better"?
