Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series 6 inch discussion

The distribution on the classified stuff as a whole has been poor.

Yes, Hasbro should care about a market the size of California. At least Walgreens and Target exclusives see some distribution here now.

But it would be nice if things improved further.

I guess the only good thing about that situation is that scalpers who speculate and snatch up all the exclusive figures when they first come out (with their automated bot accounts) will now have a difficult time unloading them after they've become readily available to find at regular price.

On a related note about scalpers...I read on Facebook (in a group devoted to McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse figures) that some of them actually even go so far as to take photos of a figure, post the pics on eBay, then hide the figure without actually buying it in the hopes that they'll get enough online demand to upsell the item. Then they'll return to the store to purchase the figure (assuming they're not trying to scam people online as well by taking their money and not actually having anything to sell).

That might explain why people sometimes find figures hidden in the most unusual places in a store (away from the toy aisle).

Pretty sure my Storm Shadow was stealthily cancelled too. It's annoying to have locked it down when they first went up for sale only to discover months later when they're sold out that I no longer have an order.

Between this, trying to track down any of the CI wave, and staying on top of preorders that may or may not work it's starting to feel like I'm buying MOTUC through Mattycollector again...

I love the line, but I'd love for it to be easier to get.

I find it actually quite humorous that when I went to try and make a snarky review about them cancelling my Arctic Storm Shadow order. Amazon website said I couldn't because

"Sorry, we are unable to accept reviews for this product. This product has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity"

I bet so many people had the same Idea as me !, but what sneaky jerks.

Just a question for you guys who got cancelation notices: did you get the cancellation notice on delivery day or prior to? I'm trying to figure out if they're going to give me the weekend to sweat it over and then cancel on me on Tuesday. My favourite toy line in years and it's been so ridiculous to collect already.

My order was cancelled. Release noted as the 1st, then nothing. Pushed to the 7th and supposedly guaranteed delivery by that evening. Mid-day it had not shipped yet and by that evening I had a cancellation email. I pre-ordered in June.

they Cancelled literally 2 hours before it was supposed to be delivered which I imagine was roughly around when they cancelled every ones.

and yes I imagine we all put this order in on the day it went live on the site June 26th
