This is getting tiring. Was this even necessary to announce right now? I'm getting annoyed with Hasbro teasing and announcing products that are a year away when they have no prototypes or renders to go with it. Oh well though, I doubt most of us will even be able to find this new wave anyway if No way homes first wave release is anything to go by.

I'm pretty happy they will be coming at some point. Living in the Canadian action figure market - you get very used to waiting.

I was actually able to find the Thor wave at my local Walmart and purchased the wave too. It was street dated for April 26th and it doesn't scan on the scanners but when I brought it to the customer service till it scanned. They're $35.97 for each figure now.

Tonight I popped into GS in bradford. They had a retro card back hobgoblin on the pegs with black cat in the legends section. 2 baron zemo as well.

I don't have issues with waiting. Never did. I just don't really like the idea of announcing something without even showing a prototype of what the product is going to look like. It just creates disappointment if the end product sucks or something. Not saying these will, but you never know with Hasbro now days.

I'm not keen on the waiting because it just seems like a wasted opportunity.

These figures should have hit when the NWH hype was at a fever pitch. Coming out over a year later... they've lost a lot of the potential new mainstream buyers for this merch.

But they'll probably make up for it by raising the prices substantially for the current Hasbro collector base.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Is the concern really for "potential mainstream buyers?" These will fly off the shelves in similar numbers to the Symbiote Spider-Man. This hype isn't going away. Ther animated series next year will also help.

Yeah, Spider-Man is popular no matter when the movie comes out and people want ML versions of Toby and Garfield. They'll have no problem selling these in a year from now.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Yeah, these figures will sell well regardless of the fact they won't hit til next year. But I do get what Ksteel is saying. It doesn't make much sense to not strike while the irons hot. I Also don't think the mainstream audience means much to Hasbro. They already have the hardcore collectors hooked and know that they'll buy anything at any price. Which is why they can get away with price increase after price increase. Like every time i walk into my TRU the Legends section keeps getting thinner and thinner despite the price increases.
