Hasbro Pulse Retro Joe figure plastic quality

Hi! I got my warehouse sale Duke/CC retro o-ring 2-pack from Pulse today, and Duke's grip is a bit too tight for his submachine gun (or any other accessory).

Has anyone experienced broken thumbs/heels/crotches with these expensive retro figures, or does the plastic have some "give"? I'm having flashbacks to the few vintage figures I broke over the years

It's my understanding that when they made the retros they swapped the traditional plastic used on the hands for one with more flexibility. I think it was ABS changed to PVC?

When in doubt, leave it out.

Cobra Commander's hands do seem to flex a little. I'll try with Duke later. Thanks for the info!
