Edit: Does anyone know how good Amazon is about fulfilling orders with items that are no longer available? I was having trouble with my payment method when I made my order yesterday for Blade and Iron man, so I wasn't able to get my payment cleared until later that day after it sold out. I'm hoping he comes back in stock but I'm doubtful.
Cyclops' head looks off (almost literally) in the promo pictures. But if it sits more like the VHS one on release, I'll get it along with Goblin Queen.

This is why you don't make sweeping claims about a character. I know that the ML team were being specific (at least to them) about which version of the Goblin Queen would never see retail release. However I'm sure there will be a loud set of collectors who will take them to task over this release.
And if I am being honest, I think it is a bit of a bad look. Again, this is why you don't make sweeping claims about characters because no matter how much you explain why this release is ok, the message will get muddled. It is like the old adage about having to explain a joke. Once you have to explain a joke you know it isn't funny. The same can apply here. Once you have to explain the situation about Goblin Queen you have lost the narrative.
In the end it won't really matter, but it will be good fodder for Toy Tubers for the next couple days.
As for this wave, I think it is a bit better of a selection than wave 1. I like that you can get Jean and Scott without cel-shading, and Scott has the beam effect. Nightcrawler is great, and I just recently sold my Wendigo BAF version. So if this goes on deep discount (like the recent Magneto for 50% off) I'll pick him up.
Magneto is fine, I really like the head sculpts, but I was never a fan of this costume. Goblin Queen is fine and I am sure this is pretty close to how she'll look in the show. In any case what choice do collectors have if they want a Goblin Queen right now for their ML shelf? The Executioner looks pretty great. I was never a fan of the original figure/character, but this figure looks pretty cool. However this is another case of wait for a sale.
Hopefully they will have another wave in the new year. I would love to see who else gets made.
I'd like the goblin queen, and maybe the nightcrawler but I'm not pre-ordering any more, unless I'm sure it will sell out. I'd also like to pick up cyclops since I've only got him with the jacket.
Im Slowly trying to get out of collecting all together but that's a habit I will probably always have.

i get that 100% I don't even collect ML really but seeing this 97 line makes me wonder if I will want that Nightcrawler as well while wondering if the future Beast, Colossus, and Sabertooth releases will grab my attention as I love those characters.
I can't even bring myself to buy Legends at full price for the few figures I even buy. The value just isn't there and I'd rather put the money towards black series and even then, I only find myself being able to justify full price for character I really need in my collection. It's one thing to cost cut by giving less accessories or none at all but it's another thing to use card backs to cut costs and not having to do a baf while charging full price like they're doing here. These should come with a baf in basic packaging at this price just like the spider verse wave should have.
Edit: on a positive note I really think I need that sabertooth and Logan 2 pack. I just have a feeling I won't like the price
