Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Yeah I can't see the Rancor getting backed with less than 2 weeks left. That would mean over 4k people would have to all of a sudden jump on board.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

I really wonder what would happen, if at the last minute, Hasbro added two more tiers that included the Rancor Keeper and that Klaatu(?) alien that commiserates with the Rancor Keeper after the Rancor dies? Would that get people to jump back on board?

I don't think they would do Oola (there seems to be the suggestion that if Slave Leia no longer flies with Disney, then Oola probably wouldn't get approval either) hence why Klaatu might be the other offering.

If Hasbro added both RK and Klaatu, maybe reduced the thresholds of the existing tiers to something more believable (less greedy), and extended the deadline to end of December, this might still get it funded. Although they've left such a bad taste in the mouths of fans, maybe people will still stand off just to teach Hasbro a lesson about not taking us for granted.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Former Mythbusters Adam Savage had a 30-40 min video with the Hasbro GB guy and the Proton Pack. No wonder it jumped 650 in a day. LOL. Almost convinced me to buy one as it looks extremely well done and at just $50 more than the Rancor, you can see the difference between the two.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Update:

Skystriker: 5,656 / 10,000 (+27)
Rancor: 4,757 / 9,000 (-6)
Proton Pack: 10,340 / 7,000 (+334)

So the Skystriker added a few more units than yesterday. Still a slow build up.

The Rancor slowed it's decline. It still lost 6 backers, but that was the lowest in days. I guess that's something?

The Proton Pack is continuing to chug along nicely. Really this has been the project to watch, for good reasons. Nothing like watching the train wreck that the Rancor has become.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Update:

Skystriker: 5,691 / 10.000 (+35)
Rancor: 4,755 / 9,000 (-2)
Proton Pack: 10,602 / 7,000 (+262)

Slow and steady still with the Skystriker, but it needs to start picking up the pace a bit. I still think it will fund, but it really needs some movement to make me feel a bit more comfortable.

The Rancor only lost 2 backers. Could today be the day that it finally gains some backers again? We'll see tomorrow.

The Proton Pack keeps chugging along without a problem. Should hit tier 2 by either tomorrow, or Saturday at the latest. It will hit all the tiers no problem once the final days hit.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Update:

Skystriker: 5,727 / 10,000 (+36)
Rancor: 4,748 / 9,000 (-7)
Proton Pack: 10,834 . 7,000 (+232)

So the Skystriker and Proton Pack had about average daily increases. The Skystriker was almost exactly the same as the day before. The Proton Pack was a bit less, but still over 200. It just keeps moving at a great pace, especially compared to the other 2 projects.

The Rancor slightly increased it's loss again after almost breaking even the day before. Another 7 units gone. At this point it really needs a positive day to possibly turn the corner. I think the psychology of having a positive day would do wonders for the project. Do it matter though? With just over 10 days to go I'm not sure.

Edit: It's now official. The last positive day for the Rancor was a week ago (November 19th).

Update:

Skystriker: 5,763 / 10,000 (+36)
Rancor: 4,751 / 9,000 (+3)
Proton Pack: 11,084 / 7,000 (+250)

The Skystriker is keeping a steady, albeit slow, pace. I really would like to see an uptick in daily backers soon with only 10+ days to go.

THE RANCOR WILL BE FUNDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you naysayers have to say now huh? What? I was one of those naysayers as recently as yesterday? ...............Nevermind.

Seriously though, this is the first positive day in over a week. I had wondered if this is the breakthrough needed to get this back on track. I guess the question now is there enough time left to get this turned around?

The Proton Pack keeps grooving along at a brisk pace. It has now unlocked tier 2, and I think it will unlock all the tiers before the end of the backing period. The question I have is, will this end up as the highest backed Haslab ever?

I don't think the Skystriker will make it.
I hope it does, but I don't think it will.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Update:

Skystriker: 5,788 / 10,000 (+25)
Rancor: 4,773 / 9,000 (+22)
Proton Pack: 11,344 / 7,000 (+260)

So no surprises for the Skystriker and Proton Pack. Both are still moving at their (fairly) standard daily pace.

However the Rancor is up for a second day in a row. Also it jumped up by double digits as well. Hopefully this means it has turned the corner and the people who bailed are done now. So the question remains, much like with the Skystriker. Can it make it?
