At least with the Snow Serpent the first release is a deluxe offering with extra accessories and can be used as a leader/sergeant/etc. for the more classic release (I assume that is what the Retro will look like). It is more of a kick in the teeth with something like the Eel. That seems to be a pretty great release and I wonder if the Retro release will come with less accessories.

Ah, good point on the Snow Serpent. The original figure I believe only came with snow shoes, and I can see Hasbro skimping on snow board due to card space. That's actually why I got the deluxe Snow Job instead of waiting for a possible retro. As for the Eels...that's going to interesting too, because as is they already look pretty retro. I hope they don't skimp on their kit too!

Retro have been more cartoon accurate in the past. Is the cartoon Eel different looking in any way?

Maybe they could paint on eyebrows

I just went out onto my balcony and stared at my SS and sadly there's just no way mine is a dark, dark blue. It's pure black. I'm going to use him as a squad leader too, and I will likely now have to get 2 of the eventual retro SS to give him at least 2 grunts to command (another win for Hasbro's sales)

Here man. It looks good. but it is a little undersized with Gung Ho. I'm actually going to keep him in my display with it

I wanted Flint ot have long sleeves and I didn't like his boots. When I heard about the retro Recondo, decided to finally make the Flint I wanted. Not sure what to do about the gloves but this is it for now.

Gave my Joe Colton Recondo's holster so he didn't have Duke's bandolier.

Thanks man. I love that shield. Few pics of my man/dork cave. older pics. I've added a bunch to my Joe section in the last few months.
