TRU.ca just raised the price of Breaker and Baroness from $54.99 to now $57.99.

What is Hasbro Canada doing? For single figures, their prices are way too high compared to the USA. I will likely never buy a figure again in Canada and wait to shop again in the USA.

Agreed, the price is too high. But is the exchange rate plus cost of gas/travel expenses worth just going to the States? Exchange rate on Breaker works out to be about $52CAD. And then there's the gas... I can't even get around town for a day for under $5 in gas - let alone crossing through customs, even if I did live close to the border.

Pretty sure Hasbro Canada figures all this in when they set their prices

My cost for two Vipers in a TRU store was $76.82 after tax as of Aug 9th.

My Target order for a C.I. Trooper & Viper, shipped to California, was $71.77 (Canadian). This cost includes a Target shipping cost for one of the Vipers for $5 or so. (early June)

My Target order for another C.I. Trooper & Viper, shipped to California, was $71.57 (Canadian). This cost includes a Target shipping cost for one of the Troopers for $5 or so. (early August)

Slight fluctuation in exchange rate due to charges showing up a month apart.

*order limit of 1 per order so I placed 3 orders and paid the shipping for 2 figures while the other two got free shipping*

Cost of shipping back to Canada will run you about $30, mark as gift to avoid duties.

After the math is said and done, you're paying slightly over $5 more per GI Joe figure if purchased in Canada compared to in the US using a Canadian Visa card. You would need to buy a significant amount for true savings to start happening, perhaps too much before customs starts asking why your car is full to the brim with toys.

Obviously conversion rates matter so things could change.

My only issue is availability, just pump out more so its not a luck quest to buy something.

Yeah, not big savings. But I guess if you're getting a bunch at once, then it's worth the effort.

Totally agree - if they were more readily available, then it would make it a ton better.

All the EB in store scarletts are new deco. I would assume the same for online unless they’re sitting on old inventory
