Red Dead Redemption John Marston

So I've been researching 1:6 scale clothes and accessories in attempt to have my own John Marston 12". I've found most of the stuff I'd like, but I wasn't sure how I was going to pull off his head sculpt. I'm an okay sculptor, but I wasn't confident in my skill to be able to pull off the level of sculpt that I'd like.

Then I found this.

This guys work is unbelievable. I just bought it on Ebay. One of only 30 cast. He has some other pretty impressive sculpts as well.

So it begins. John Marston shall come to life on my shelves. I'll keep updating this thread as pieces come together.

Happy Labour Day Weekend!

If anyone is interested in see this guys work. He has his own site.

Wow, that an amazing sculpt. That guy has quite the talent. I haven't even started playing the game yet, can't seem to find the time.

Re: Red Dead Redemption John Marston

I really liked it. Enough that I need a John Marston action figure....lol.

I'm still playing a lot of multiplayer. Waiting for the zombie add on pack coming out late September.

I've sort of been looking for a new project as of late, but didn't know what to do. This will actually be my first 1:6 scale custom. I'm pretty stoked.

Great game & dead on likeness of the character, I would buy a Marston figure in an instant.

Re: Red Dead Redemption John Marston

My cast of the head arrived in the mail today. Now it's time to go to my local hobby store and see which body I'm going to go with. The head is drilled to fit True Type and Dragon bodies. So far I'm leaning towards a True Type body I saw at my local shop.

I'm probably going to hold off on painting the head till the end of the project.

Well just picked up a 1/6 scale replica of a 1911 Colt 45.

Just have to paint the handle grip white and voila! John Marstons high powered pistol.

Picked up the double barrel shot gun and Winchester rifle off ebay. I'm going to give them both more of a realistic wood grain look.

Also pick up these gloved hands for Mr. Marston. They're the Hot Toys hands for their 1/6 Joker figure.
