Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series 6 inch discussion

I have a general question about the 3 3/4" Retro collection.

Is it going to be like Mattel's Masters Of The Universe line where it's initially a Walmart exclusive and then becomes available from all retailers in 2021?

Or is it only going to be carried by Walmart, unlike the G.I. Classified 6" line (aside from its Target exclusive Cobra Island waves)?

No word, probably the same as Real Ghostbusters. Just pray that you come across some randomly.

Ugh, I can understand if Hasbro did that with Ghostbusters, seeing as how there's only so many toys you can do with that license, given that there were only 3 films (4 if you include the upcoming 2021 movie) and the animated series.

It's also understandable if they're focusing more on 6" figures nowadays, but I don't think making the entire Retro Collection a Walmart exclusive is a smart move on Hasbro's part, given that there is still demand for G.I. Joe in the 3 3/4" size, just like there is for the Star Wars 3 3/4" Vintage Collection.

Perhaps they could follow the example of the Vintage Collection by producing fewer figures per wave (which definitely wouldn't hurt our wallets as much), but still having the figures available through all retailers.

It sucks but unfortunately with the toys r us stores closing in the USA, toy companies have only walmart and target and therefore have to give them exclusives in order to sell their products. The sad reality is companies like hasbro need walmart and target more then walmart and target need hasbro. Thankfully we still have toys r us and ebgames who've really saved us Canadians with different toy lines.

Not looking much like it. Maybe they'll release more later?

The second my Amazon Stormshadow got cancelled I ordered one on amazon.com and it just arrived today, I would have preferred Canadian prices but it's Stormshadow.

I totally agree. It's good that there's also Amazon as well. Walgreens is another option in the U.S., although I don't think Hasbro would be releasing any G.I. Joe exclusives through them.

I think the only recent toy line which has not proven to be difficult to find is McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse. All of the figures released so far have ended up being readily available at regular retail prices (or cheaper) at some point or another.

Beachhead, Cobra Trooper and Roadblock showed up online at TRU.ca. ButBeachhead and Trooper were already gone. I was able to get Roadblock though.
