Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Whatever happened to franchises providing a universal shopping experience? I thought that was the whole point of the thing.

Or has it always been this way, and sites like stocktrack make it more noticeable?

Orillia, although they were also at Barrie. They use a discount tag, so they wouldn’t be on the website.

By franchises, do you mean Walmart’s? Because Walmart’s are all corporate owned. This price decrease was a decision made at the store level.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Yeah if a store is overstocked with an item that isn't selling, they'll reduce it on their own. I've seen certain Walmart overloaded with DC Multiverse stuff or the Exclusive Walmart Jedi Luke and they just had to unload them them for cheap for shelf space.

For this AOA Apocalypse I guess they just looked at the history and it wasn't selling for months so they put it at clearance to find a buyer.

Upper James store in Hamilton had them in an aisle away from the other action figures for some reason. If I wasn't looking for other figures with my kids I never would have seen them.

The Toys R Us website has it for $38.88:
https://www.toysrus.ca/en/Hasbro-Mar.../241F7B50.html

And it's still readily available for $38.88 as well on Amazon.ca:
https://www.amazon.ca/Hasbro-Legends...&s=toys&sr=1-1

With Amazon.ca, just ordering the figure alone will give you free shipping (your item has to be $35 before tax in order to qualify for the free Super Shipping option), so you'd just be paying tax on it like you would if you were to buy it in person at regular retail.

Thank you for the info. Sorry, I guess I should have made my self clearer.
I really was just trying to make a statement that me cities stores didn't receive them at all.
I have no use for alternate reality figures unless they slipped into the 616 universe, briefly or permanently.
Managers must have said no to it, might have something to do with the fact that both stores marked their AOA waves down to $9 about 2 months after their initial release.
It was the only wave, from last year, that it happened to in my city
