Jokes on Hasbro! Individual figures now qualify for free shipping, so I actually save money by ordering less.

Man, $38 for Darth Maul, and no accessories other than his sabre. That's a tough one to swallow even after the Edge discount. This figure should be $33 - 10% and even then, it's a kitbash of mostly old tooling.

SIGHTING: Hasbro Pulse has put Dark Side Rey up for order again. The photos suggest she is coming with the more accurate silver hilt rather than the bronze one seen here in Canada.

$20 USD for Dark Rey, plus $20 USD for shipping a single figure. That's $50 CAD for one figure. The only saving grace is that at $20 USD it's under the $40 CAD customs limit, so no tax, but add anything else, and then you have full federal and provincial taxes, and higher shipping charges. Hasbro Pulse is usually the most expensive retail option for Canadians.

While not the best for 1 item, HP does have it's purposes... for me, it is actually reliable where Amazon.ca and WM.ca are utter failures for preorders.

With HP shipping costs starting at $20 USD, they do not go much over $30 USD even if you order a dozen items. And it's FedEx, so it arrives within a couple of days of the shipping notice email.

HP collects GST/HST upfront so you should never have to pay duty with FedEx at your door (and if they do screw-up, just contact them to get it resolved).

FedEx also likes to play soccer with packages… All my deliveries from Pulse came mangled.

I also hate that they won't ship some items to Quebec. Pulse and Best Buy Canada are the only ones who follow that asinine rule.

Maul sold out but managed to get Red Guard and Luke. Prices still in line with the increase though Maul with nothing extra is a little hard to swallow. But I'll preorder in store.
