It's never possible to "preorder" after the release date, since it's already out, whether it's in stock, or not.

Used to be they could transfer an item between stores, but I think they don't do that anymore, or they really don't want to.

But I was told in store that there were more Windu preorders than they could fill. I'm actually surprised it showed up online at all.

Though I didn't mean for my "preorder" comment to sound snarky or pedantic. Obviously you can't make a preorder for something that's already out.

What I meant is that the in-store system won't let you order it at all after the release date (and often within a week or two before). It's either in that store, or it's not. Which is not to say they won't get a restock at some point, but you can't force it like you can with a preorder.

Ordered Merrick from Toysrus 2 weeks ago. I had it shipped to my office. Instead it was out for delivery yesterday when office was closed. Now tracking says they are returning to sender. WTF!!!!!

My last TRU online order took 10 days to arrive and it shipped directly from a store in Ontario. Arrived via Intelcom which is usually Amazon out here.
