I just opened the Venom I picked up yesterday and wanted to take some pics even though I'm probably going to try repainting the symbol on him later on.

SWAT gear courtesy of www.marauderinc.com (http://www.marauderinc.com). They make scale accessories for 3.75" figures. The vest is the best part, as it fits perfectly (once you remove his existing vest.) It's made of very soft, malleable plastic. Whole package was only $5 USD and definitely well worth it! :D

SE looks cool. I think they should have spent more time on the body sculpt beneath the clothing. Doesn't look like a muscled commando/ninja dude under there. Looks more like a kid wearing a Halloween costume. :p Still, the accessories kick ass. I just wish I could get into the larger scales.

ya, the body is a little tiny.. I already stuffed the shoulder with extra cotton to bulk him up a little. Maybe I will do a 2nd bulk up for him.. I already got some extra parts kitbashing another Snake Eyes, more like the 1985 version.

Opened some SW toys today. Although with the lack of articulation, I still find myself really liking them. Thanks to jacobot for starting my SW toys interest. I've always seen them in stores, but never bought them for some reason. Right now, I just want more clone troopers!

Yeah that Obi Wan isn't bad even though he has no knees. He seems a bit too short compared to CW Troopers but still cool. I wish I could find someone willing to part with the helmet head though. :p

Yup its a modded clone wars grievous.
I stole skelet0r's idea and took ig-86's joints and attached them to grievous.

And I agree, Grievous figure itself is pretty damn dissapointing out of the package, but he is pretty damn good now.

Thanks Tkim! Just to clarify, only one of IG86 was used here? And what problems did the modification solve? I don't have a Grievous, so I do not know what was the original problem.

np! yup just one IG-86 was used.
and as for the mod it pretty much made this figure awesome by adding alot of articulation.
eg, the arm was one piece being articulated only at the shoulder. Samething for the legs, it only had swivel joint at the hips..think megnaguard's legs.

The mod itself isnt that hard, only took me about an hour and 30 mins to do.

If you're interested in doing the mod for yourself, I say take advantage of the 'buy 2 for 10 bucks' sale going on at TRU
and pick them up.

I picked up two more ig-86s :] thinking of doing my megnaguard next.

Also, if you're going to do the mod, keep in mind that the hip and shoulder joint pegs are pretty deep inside the body (about half a centimetre in) so it would be a good idea to cut into the body to get the joint out.

Yeah there were only 3 regular clones the night before the sale at my local TRU but I bought 2 of them...no more Clone Wars clones at all. All the Legacy clones sold out yesterday. :eek:

Wal-Mart 'might' pricematch it, but it may not be successful. You can definitely give it a shot though.

It's Rex&Fives, Cody&Echo. I stared at the packs for so long but I didn't like how they didn't come with much accessories. The only one that isn't available in single-pack form is Fives I believe...but I don't need another Rex (I like the first single card one just fine).

His backpack has a string and hooks on both ends. Pretty lame/stupid gimmick but even with that he comes with a fair amount of accessories. :)

You have to take his coat off to put the backpack on, I couldn't get it to fit right without doing that.

EDIT: Apparently Skeletor used a revoltech joint for an ab crunch, which is a great idea. Just wish I had spare joints to even consider that. Need a dremel though.

i just used Xacto knife and for the glue I used the Krazyglue.

Been looking for a brand of super glue called 'Future glue'..but no luck :P but krazyglue works just as well.

The face doesn't look perfect, but I didn't see any defects like you've mentioned. I heard that too.

Her face cloth thing kind of hides any possible defects too.

She's a really good figure, my first articulated ninja in this scale. :p

they are made by konami, about...6" or so.
and yup, the figure comes as a basic body with lots and lots of armor pieces that you can choose to add or take off. really well articulated figures. pretty cool figures...its pretty expensive though, runs from 40 to 50 dollars per in most places.

The armors come off yes, but Shinkis are extremely frustrating. It's much more annoying to swap hands/armors than it is on Revoltech/figmas to swap parts. imo there's way too many pieces, even the light armors. I guess that's good to justify the price, but it's not my taste.

I sold off my regular package (huge box) Asuka a while ago, still stuck with a Light Armor Valona. :(

Cool. There's so many Japanese products that I am not familiar with. I don't think it's my taste, but they do look neat. I'm currently trying to break into some of the Japanese products. Really, Revoltech was pretty much my entry point, but I'm looking for some Ghost in the Shell figures as well as Appleseed. Not too familiar with the more unknown Japanese stuff. Since I'm a size nut, I'm looking for less than six inch tall figures. I know Appleseed has some nice 4" snap kits, but still searching out similar ones for GITS (if they even exist)

Cool, Figuarts are awesome figures. Looks good, very well articulated, and doesnt feel flimsy. If you are a fan of kamen rider I would highly recommend.

Not really a fan of Kamen Rider since I haven't watched any of the shows yet. I only watched a few eps of Decade but lost interest. I am pretty interested in the design of Kickhopper though, which is why I want the Figuarts.

I will probably never buy a MR again though, I had a Kickhopper one which just broke after two weeks. I didn't think it would be THAT fragile. Cost me $12 to import too...not too pleased. I traded it with someone a while ago since he wanted to do some customs, and the trade was good in the end or else...yeah. That's why I want the figuarts version. :p

Yep, one day I tried to pose him and his knee just snapped. I treated it like a Hasbro 3.75" figure, probably a bad idea since I forgot they were just trading figures...as nice as they look. I think the cases where they break are pretty low since I don't see many people with busted ones. This is true since you even have a full set with no problems.

EDIT: BTW Requesting pics of your Chromia! :D You think she's worth getting? I have Arcee now and might go grab a Chromia tomorrow, < $10 is a great deal.

I 'like' Arcee but she has many faults, I think the only real thing going on with Arcee that I like are the dagger and the fact that she's pinkish.

I'm really really liking how they make each clone slightly different. The handprint with the blood and the visor really help Echo look cool. I'm still not bored of the gatling gun...yet. :p He was worth the wait since I didn't want to have 2 Cody's.

TBH I didn't get a chance to open her yet, just got a lot of stuff today and will probably work on building a Gundam kit I bought 4 weeks ago lol. I love her colours though, I just didn't want to give her a chance since the deluxes weren't ~$10 before.

Just noticed I didn't reply to your post for like a couple weeks.

It's a figma stand but it's a separate accessory kit you can buy, called di:stage (Basic Set). It works for just about anything that the grabby claw can wrap around. They run at about $5-7 USD.

I also used it for my Arcee and random figma pose.

I'm expecting a hell of a conclusion, what with Makuta being in Mata Nui's giant robot god body and all...

Sorry, going off-topic. The 6 Stars are: 2001 Tahu, Takanuva, a yellow Rahkshi, a blue Pirahka, and Skraal and Gresh from the Glatorian line. Seems pretty moot, since the regular, full-sized Glatorian can still be found on the shelves...

Ordered them from Hobby Links Japan. They're a bit pricey, converts to about 3 bucks each, but really cool. You can get in three colors: clear (http://www.hlj.com/product/OBTMLST-A01C), black (http://www.hlj.com/product/OBTMLST-A01CB01), and blue (http://www.hlj.com/product/OBTMLST-A01CL01).

The stand comes with varying pole heights. The one I'm using here is the tallest pole. They come with different size grips so you can do 3.75" up to 6" Considering the versatility, I figure it's worth the price. :D

They're called Obitsu Body stands or something like that. I chose the slowest method of delivery, SAL, and it took only a week. Whenever I order from HLJ, it takes a week usually.

Ya dude i totally agree!!! To me he's THE perfect modern batman fig in terms of colors and mold. He's the right black and grey, brown belt (not a fan of the yellow belt) and has the DCUC articulation. Ya sure he's missing accessories but everything else makes up for it.

my custom amateur attempt at Superman Prime.

Head - DCUC short hair Superman.
Body - DCUC black suit Superman
Cape - DCSH Superman (an extra i had lying around, literally)

I went with the gloss cape cause i wanted to see how it would turn out. Dam it's pretty glossy. I also touched up his blue "highlights" with the same black gloss paint.

wow looking at the pic this big i realized i missed a lil red inside the cape. :o :o

Same here man, I have school everyday but 2 days a week are 10AM-6/7PM. The other days I have 1 or 2 hours of class in the morning...the rest of the day I spend just resting or being lazy. Work on weekends...
