Picked up CWA Yoda and 4A-7 today.:)

And I'm up to Legacy #40 now, though I'm fading. We'll see the next issue has Mandalorians in it but the writer John Ostrander said in a recent interview that the Mandalorians are basically Klingons....so I kinda fear for what might be to come in that issue.

Finally picked up the Assault on Ryloth 4-pack. Excited for Waxer and Boil, but didn't feel too good about the price. Mostly in getting a toned down Mace Windu (which I held off buying the single pack version for) and Cody (who I already have).

Either way now I need to save some money to grab the other.

You and me both, Haggis! :D Udesi Ner Vod! :D I too have the Shysa/Dengar pack and still have yet to get the Dala/Leia pack. I've seen both in stores, but I was always more of a Shysa fan. Granted, Dala was an interesting character who gave his life so Mandalore could be liberated from the Suprema and his garrison, but I just never really saw the need to pick him up as much as I did 'Ol Mandalore! :D

Finally grabbed Matchstick. One of the figures I have been wanting for a while now, was super excited about him since I first seen him in the show. Looks awesome in person.

Was pretty close to grabbing the 212th Troopers and Jet Packs but there colouring looks a little off to me, is that with all of them?

I believe the Jet Packs troopers all have gray colored armor, it's not an accident, but the way the figures were produced. Not sure why they did it, but they also made Jango Fett's outfit purple this year, so I am not surprised. :rolleyes:

Found Saga Legends 501st and Ep2 clones today at Wal-mart. They had the Ep3 version but I wasn't there to buy toys. This may sound weird, but I've never owned any non-CW clones before except for commanders, so just some basic clone sculpts are new to me. They're really cool, if in need of ball-jointed wrists, but they're probably my favourite non-Clone Wars figures. Plus I can always use more weapons.

Didn't find the 3 Rex's that were there last time for my M10 customs, so I might just buy them online.

The Mij Gilamar figure was suppost to be Kal Skirata in that set, but Karen Traviss felt he looked too young and thus Mij was born(named for Jim Gilmer, Karen's web co-ordinator, or some such position.)

Jim(who I've gotten to know a little on another site) actually has fed Karen a lot of ideas for her books, like ressurecting Daala.

Being that he is a pro author himself I'd like to see him write a Star Wars novel one day, maybe even pick up for Karen on IC:D.......I think he'd do the job well but I also think it aint gonna happen.:(

I am still hoping that both Kal Skirata and Walon Vau see plastic representations some time in the future, they truly deserve it. :D

Got Thire, Luminara, Argyus, AAT Droid and the Rishi Moon pack yesterday. Luminara has replaced Space suit Skywalker as my favourite Jedi figure, Argyus is really neat. Wish all clones had his arms. (or right arm design) No such thing as too amny BDs, and Thire is quite awsome, though he really should've come with a rifle.

Rishi Moon pack is great. Nothing but good things to say about Commando Droids or clones.

Any action figure movie like Avatar on back sends out all the figures, vehicles and accessories months before hitting the screen. Hasbro seems takes forever and adds lots of filler repacks... I guess it works for them :(A movie and weekly TV show are not even close to the same thing when it comes to toys. Hasbro likely doesn't even know about these charatcers until just before the episode airs. Then there's translating the design, tooling, production, etc. Plus, several possible toy characters appear per episode, but Hasbro can only get out up to about 4-5 figures per wave. Plus it's a popularity contest with figure selection.

Avatar was massive before the trailers even came out. They likely had designs supplied for toys long in advance for the theatrical release.

Finally got to TRU's the last day of teh sale. Soooooo mant Plo Koon's and Tiin's... Anyway. Picked up a AOTC Clone trooper and finally a Cad bane.

The Trooper is for my Custom squad. Got 2 in teh squad now. Gotta get a red ARC trooper and that At-PT with ARf trooper and a cople more phase 1 / phase 2 clones.

Cad I basically paid teh 5 bucks for his head to put on Denal. which is a little small but i got it on there Shame denal head doesn't fit on banes body. But i might be able to get it there som ehow.

I nearly destroyed Kyle's pistol getting it out of the holster. Of the two packs 3 of the figures have accesories stuck fast because the paint glued them on. :( I'm not even going to bother pulling out Sigil Dare's saber, or Darth Krayt's open handed one. I greatly fear trying to remove Kryat's helmet too.

I've got the Krayt/Dare and Kyle/Vong packs and haven't had problems of that nature. Krayt's armor pops off far too easily on mine, as well he doesn't hold his ligthsaber well. Other than that no complaints on my front.

Kyle's pistol isn't a huge deal. The trigger guard broke but that's it. You can't really notice it. And once I got it out my Krayt won't hold his saber well either.

Picked up TX-20, Cold weather Skywalker and Thi-sen. Great figure. Anakin is really well detailed and sculpted and luckily has knees! Thi-sen, who can also be just a regular Talz, is excellent. Great, no, amazing sculpt. Very large, too, and the accesories are very well-done.

But the real winner is TX-20 for being God-damn awesome. I have him disco dancing right now, but he can assume every pose from the show, hands together, pointing, shooting, monologing. The sculpt is one of the finest in the line, just oozing personality, and he's composed of almost entire ball joints, which make posing all the more natural. If we don't get every single deco this model appeared in, I'll be sad.

There's hardly anything this guy can't do. If he had knees that skies would catch on fire, but even without them they're pre-posed in such a way he can do almost anything with them. (I noticed the show models usually have their legs bent similar, too. Nice attention to detail)

I was ready to be "eh" on him before opening, and now he may be one of my favourites of the line. It's the true-ball-jointed ankles that make him so sturdy and versitile.

He's dancing the quick step with a pencil now.

Grabbed the Ambush on Tatooine and Birth of Vader battle packs this week :D

Liked the Ambush a lot more than I thought. Really like the Qui-Gon, and though I already had the Maul, I LOVE his speeder so great. As much as I didn't really care about the Anakin, I kinda really like this figure.

Birth of Vader wasn't quite as good as I had hoped, not quite sure why. Just doesn't have as 'epic' of a feel as I was looking for. Medical droids seem kinda small, now I need to look back at the movie and compare them.

Just bought the ARF with AT-RT deluxe figure at the TRU in Etobicoke, Ontario. It was the last one, but 2 Cody with BARC and 1 Anakin with Desert Skiff remain.

Also there were the TRU exclusives: Biker Scout with Speeder bike and the red Battle Droid with STAP.

Thi-Sen wave of CW figures was there too and the pegs were overflowing with Vong-wave comic packs.

The face sculpt and paint are amazing. Too bad it's covered by the hood that I can't get off. The hands are great sculpts that work well with almost any pose.

Picked up Snow rex, Snow Obi-wan, Fire Fighter Droid, new Magnaguard and Bly today.

Rex is great. He has the same articulation as stone, but the sculpt more than makes up for it. No head under the helmet but it's not like he ever took it off in thsi wear.

Bly's great. 'Nother clone, what else can I say?

Firefighter droid is awesome! He's got forearm swivels and a new head. the fire-hose backpack is great. I love this guy.

While very good, Snow Obi-wan kinda gets over-shadowed. He's nice, and goes great with Talz, Snowalker, Rex and the speeder. Glad he's not just an Anakin remould. The hood and goggles are fun to remove and mix and match.

The real winner here is the fully-articulated Magnaguard. He. Kicks. ASS. Liek I ssaid, super-articulated with full arms, hips, knees and ankles. the cape is really well done, and the head still has full motion. One of my new favourites.

PIcked up the Darth Krayt and Sigel Dare comic pack. Also pick up the CW Verison of Darth Sidous aswell.

I Got Sidous just becaus I like his chin, and teh fact that he's a tooth pick. I like his look so i got him, Even if theres no articulation under the waist

Cold Weather Rex, Jek and Bly are on my list next in The Clone Wars toyline, not much in Legacy has my attention other than the Concept Snowtrooper and Concept IG-88 and haven't really seen them in my area of late. Still need to get the Katarn / Vong comic pack too. :rolleyes:

I have all three of those guys. I gotta say, as much as I love clones, they do get kinda boring after a while. It was great for them to give us Snow Rex and Stone to shake things up.

Agreed, but it's something that can't be escaped by todays Star Wars collectors. Fortunetly though, Hasbro shakes things up from time to time with a few retooled or unique pieces, like you mentioned, to keep fans interested.

Clone Wars does it a little better by giving clone unique heads and more elaborate paint schemes for some. But Snow Rex and Stone have certainly kept me interested in the clone scene.

Had a great week.
Picked up Bly, CW obi-Wan, CW Rex, Magnaguard and Firefighte Droid.
Then I hit a Zellers in Edmonton and picked up an X-wing, and wandered into a TRU and found both TFU five packs.
I think I've died and gone to Star Wars Heaven.

Yes, I agree that CW is the Star Wars line keeping fans interested in Hasbro's varied Clone Troopers since they change things up more often then say the Legacy line. Smart move on their part, if anything, and it keeps us interested. :D

Geez....it's been a clone extravaganza the last week. 501st came in today with new fabric under suit which greatly increases it's articulation compared to the previous plastic under suit. Plus a new stand system that hooks under the legs instead of grabbing around the waist.

Ya know I can't tell from those pics, but is this a Vintage Style figure complete with limited articulation that fires the rocket or is it modern vintage style with all the right joints? Because to me it seems to be the first choice, which, although cool, I'm not overtly fond of.

But I'll probably still order one or two if I decide to and could always sell them off or something if I'm not fully satisfied. ;)

^^ Yep, it's vintage and has the classic style articulation. Again, I have the '78 original and you can really see some updating went into the figure regardless of the fact that it was still modeled in the older style.

Since TRU Started their BOGOFAD I've managed to get...

VC02 Leia (Hoth Outfit)
VC05 AT-AT Commander
VC08 Darth Vader (All around the best Darth Vader I've ever owned. Even if he can only hold his lightsaber one-handed.)

SL02 IG-88 (Ummm, is mine a defect or his it intentional that you can't fit the smaller blaster into the holster on his back?)
SL08 Darth Maul (I thought this one was a re-release of the one everyone suggested I should get, but with the cloak hiding his articulation points from view it was difficult to tell. Turns out I was wrong, this Darth Maul looks like he comes from 1999 or something, he's got one swivel arm, one swivel wrist, two knee joints that are not Ball Jointed and hip articulation plus the head can swivel. Stupid Hasbro... Oh well he'll suffice for a Darth Maul until I can get a better one, I mean I only got him for 1$)

CW08 Pre Vizsla (What can I say about this figure that hasn't been said before? BRING ON MORE CLONE WARS FIGURES!)

Next week I'm getting four more as soon as I can afford them and I think Clone Wars will be the bulk of my purchases this time. All of them won't be as articulated as Pre Vizla I know that much, but they will definitley look awesome.

Is anybody else contemplating getting that Mail-Away Galactic Battle Game Mat thing? I'm tempted just to see what it looks like.

Picked up Pre Vizla today.

Silly Question Is Pre Vizsla and Zuckuss good for teh BobaFett mail away. I couldn't find there assortment numbers on them, but Boba mail away says it includes CW and SL figures.... both are in the new packaging.

The assortment numbers are actually located on the name-tag piece of the cardboard insert.

By the way, how exactly does the mail-away thing work? Do they just take the Barcode things or do you need to include the name plus assortment number portion of the cardboard insert?

I ask because I like to keep those things for reference, hence why I clip them off of the other pieces.

So in line with my last post about the Vintage Darth Sidious figure....... in September I won the monthly Sideshow contest. Which for that month was the 12" Clone Wars Anakin. I was stoked to have won, but wasn't all that excited about the prize. I had had no intention of picking it up as I didn't really like the look of it.

Anyways.....it arrived yesterday, and I must say that getting it out of the package it has grown on me as well. It'll probably look pretty cool beside the 12" Captain Rex when he arrives in February.

I mostly got it for Slave 1 and CW style Bossik and cadet Boba. The Delta Starfighter is ok, but it is nice to be abkle to slap a Jedi into his starfighter complete with astromech droid. And Mace's deco is decent.

Picked up Clone Pilot Goji from TRU Cookstown this past Sunday! :DD: I want him so bad. Like, badly bad.

Also Picked up the ARC Troopers pack and Vintage Bespin Luke yesterday. Very cool. Today I also grabbed an AOTC Trooper, Hidden Enemy Battle Pack and CW Magnaguard. My trooper army is looking pretty cool now, if only for the fact that it actually looks like an army. I also converted the two extra Rex's I got from the packs into extra ARC troopers to back up Fordo. Why let them go to waste if all it takes is a little paint? :D However I swapped my old Rex's unhelmeted gummy head for the much nicer one of the ARC trooper pack's.
