Legends of the Dark Knight - The Homage to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns is beyond awesome in this episode, and I love how they take a subtle stab at Joel Schummacer's sexuality in this episode too. :p

Shutter Island = pure awesomeness, was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

TRON Legacy, caught a second viewing of it on IMAX today. So much better on the IMAX, noticed that screen aspect ration changed for some scenes. Hopefully they keep that in the blu-ray release like they did for The Dark Knight. Thank you cheap ticket Tuesdays!

Sucker Punch - caught it on IMAX tonight (cheap Tuesdays, and the trailers made it look pretty good), I didn't think it was as bad as the critics made it out to be. The story was certainly confusing (left me trying to piece together an answer to the "why's"), with under developed characters (which again lead to more "why's"). Visual and action sequences were really cool, certainly reminded me of anime and video games.

My only complaint, and I can't believe I'm saying this, was that the audio was too damn loud. Holy crap, someone screwed up either in the sound mix or volume control for the theatre. If it was volume, then someone was cranking this at an 11 when a 10 would have been just perfect. Though, I'm more inclined to believe it was poor sound mixing. Whoever the mixer was, it sounded like both rock music and explosions were blasted to the same levels distorting each other to the point where I'm just hearing noise. I almost wanted to walk out during the first action sequence, by the third one my ears were ringing. The more I think about it the more I'm convinced it was just poor sound mixing. As the last time I was at the IMAX screen it was for TRON Legacy and the volume was about the same levels, but I never found the effects or music to deafening like it was in Sucker Punch.

Whew! Anyway, sorry for the mini rant, but man did that bug me. If you're planning to see it, I recommend not trying make sense of or to understand the story, just sit back and enjoy the action. And maybe avoid the IMAX screening.

Saw X-Men: First Class last night.

Enjoyed it, but I know I am a DC-er through and through as I was more excited about the Green Lantern trailer they showed before the movie even started. :p

Still, it was good. At least as good, or slightly better, than the first X-Men flick. Marvel/X-Men fans will really enjoy it.

Just finished watching it too! It was a very cool film indeed, loved all the awesome easter eggs spread throughout the course of the film! Did the original films a hell of a lot more justice than Tim Burton's 2001 attempt, that's for sure! :p
