Well I feel foolish, I forgot Cad with the TODO-360 figure also doesn't have ankle articulation, however he does have knee articulation as opposed to the original sculpt. And I can live with that.

Unfortunately the 2012 Cad re-pack is not the TODO one, but the damn original mold version without the articulated knees. WHY Hasbro Why? That one is still hanging around on shelves with the blue card.

UGH. Oh well, if anyone in the Peg area happens to find a Cad with TODO at TRU this week, please pick him up for me, I'll take him off your hands at the sale price at the Toy Expo next weekend.

Seems like forever since we had a Clone Wars update, but here is the latest, thanks to Yakface.com! The highly anticipated Delta Squad Commander - Boss (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/04/20/toyguide-update-cw11-republic-commando-boss/)!

He's got an awesome sculpt and paint work and I really love the accessories for this one, particularly the backpack that opens, but the lack of articulation is a disappointment, allbeit, a minor one at best.

An really neat figure I can't wait to add to my collection!

Enjoy!

The lack of a proper knee joint is really turning me off of him, I got rid of all my older SW figures due to that... Then again, I've got Hondo on my shelf and he's a knee-less wonder too. Same for CW Dooku.

I don't know, I might just get him. I really wish Hasbro wasn't cutting out Knee articulation on Clones though, I can understand lesser characters like aliens and stuff, but Jedi, Sith and Clones should all have standard knee and in some cases ankle articulation. Cost Cutting may be a factor, but it is a poorly concieved one due to odd choices.

More Clone Wars updates! Check out Yakface.com's look at an awesome updated figure of Clone Commander Cody (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/04/20/toyguide-update-cw7-clone-commander-cody/)! This update has a nice, crisp deco and full articulation!

Enjoy!

Here we have yet another Yakface.com Clone Wars figure update, this time of, yet another, Obi-Wan Kenobi (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/04/23/toyguide-update-cw12-obi-wan-kenobi/), allbeit, with a new sculpt. The new sculpt pays better homage to the characters animated counterpart and the sculpt is fairly detailed for a Clone Wars figure. Like Boss, however, although the figure is nice, there is a lack of articulation in the legs and ankles.

Enjoy!

Next in the line of recent Yakface.com's Clone Wars updates is the Phase-II version of Captain Rex (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/04/25/toyguide-update-cw13-captain-rex-phase-ii/). He's got a nice, battle scared look to him and is said to be the nicest looking version of Captain Rex to date. However, the figure does have its short-comings, most noteable a total lack of leg and wrist articulation and a non-removable, slightly oversized helmet.

Since we've gotten tonnes of Rex figures since the lines launch in summer 2008, you could afford to pass this figure up, but, in this fan's opinion, I just love everything about this piece, from the paint work to the updated armor. I'll be picking him up, but to each his own, so the saying goes.

Enjoy!

Our next Yakface.com Clone Wars figure update comes in the form of Jedi Knight Aayla Secura (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/05/01/toyguide-update-cw14-aayla-secura/), a reissue from 2009-2010 that fan's have been demanding for quite some time. She, unlike most of the figures shown lately, comes loaded with the articulation collectors expect in this day and age, as well as a descent assortment of accessories, all of which are removeable!

No cons here, get her as soon as you can! The wait for a reissue is over, but it probably won't be long before she's gone from store shelves once again!

Check out Yakface.com's next up-coming Clone Wars figure update: Ahsoka w/ SCUBA gear (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/05/04/toyguide-update-cw15-ahsoka-scuba-gear/)! Based on the characters more grown-up apperance in Season 4, the figure features an excellent sculpt and paint work, finally, with the absence of color bleeding! A nice figure overall, that is still plagued by a serious lack of articulation in the legs.

Enjoy!

Check out Sandtroopers.com's snapshots of a new Target/Zellers exclusive Battle Pack coming soon to a store-near-you! The Darth Maul Returns (http://www.sandtroopers.com/sandwatch/hasbro/20120509/) 3-piece set includes a new Darth Maul figure, a new Night Sister (apparently, not Mother Talzm) and a re-package of the popular amored Savage Opress figure from earlier this year!

This set should be hitting shelves soon, so keep your eyes open!

The Nightsister is based on the some of the original concept art for either Maul or Dooku, I can't remember which.

I think it was Dooku, from the same batch of ideas that produced Ventress.

Check out Yakface.com's look at the next figure in the 2012 Clone Wars line - CW #16 - Super Battle Droid (Training Droid) (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/05/05/toyguide-update-cw16-super-battle-droid-training-droid/). Based off the apperance of the droid's in the Cadets episode from Season 3, the figure has a nice looking deco and all the nessesary articulation - save for the legs.

Aside from that, the second set of missile launchers, present on previous releases of the figure, were mysteriously left out by Hasbro.

Enjoy!

Check out Yakface.com's next Clone Wars figure update - CW #17 - Clone Commander Wolffe (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/05/20/toyguide-update-cw17-clone-commander-wolffe/).

This is an awesome figure, that comes complete with a firing rocket launcher and a pair of blaster pistols that fit into functioning holsters. The deco has been applied very well and the overall appearance of the helmet is almost done in a realistic style.

Of course though, the figure is lacking some articulation in the ankles and knees, and the deco is more blue than gray as it appeared on screen, but overall, this is one sharp figure army builders and Star Wars fans shouldn't pass up!

Enjoy!

Hey, Star Wars Fans! Check out Yakface.com's in-depth look at the up-coming Republic Assualt Submarine w/ Scuba Clone Trooper (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/05/24/toyguide-update-deluxe-republic-assault-submarine-wscuba-clone-trooper/)!

This is one fan's have been demanding since the Season 4 opener and although the actual figure features a slightly sloppy deco with some bleeding and overspray, with 13-points-of-articulation and a really nice paint deco on the sub, as well as lots of fun accessories, this is a piece no Clone Wars fan should be without!

And come on, who doesn't love the Red Five markings? :D

Enjoy!

The Darth Maul Returns (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/09/09/toyguide-update-darth-maul-returns-battle-pack/) Battle Pack is now hitting retail in the USA, and Yakface.com has a great review of the 3-piece set!

The set features 2 all new pieces and the hard-to-find armored version of Savage Opress and both the deco and articulation are excellent!

The Nightsister is not Mother Talzin though and Opress is missing his lightsaber from the carded release, but all in all, this set shouldn`t be passed on!

It`s a Target exclusive, so keep your eyes open!

Yakface.com has a nice, in-depth look at the upcoming online exclusive Wolf Pack Ultimate Gift Set (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2012/11/03/toyguide-update-104th-battalion-wolf-pack-ultimate-gift-set/) up for your viewing pleasure!

The set is a nice way to add some more clone troopers to our collections and the decos used are more accurate to the way they appear in the series.

It just sucks this is going to be an online exclusive instead of a Wal-Mart exclusive, meaning it may cost a few dollars more than if it were available in store.

All in all, however, a solid set that is a winner!

Enjoy! :D
