DCUC.info recently added some awesome DCUC Wave 19 and Wave 20 photos to their archives!

These lines have got to be two of the best waves we've gotten since DCUC was launched in 2007! Featuring such amazing pieces as a hooded Green Arrow and C&C S.T.R.I.P.E, Mattel certainly pulled out all the stops for the last two waves before DC All-Stars takes its place at retail, and hopefully has better distribution as well.

Click the hyperlinks to check out some great individual shots of the figures in each line!

I think the first figure (Jay Garrick) was always meant to ship in April 2012. The change of date notification for April 13 is due to the 15th falling on a Sunday. So it's pretty much ado about nothing.

Not much to report today, but during their latest Ask Matty Q&A with The Fwoosh, Mattel revealed more info about Club Infinite Earth would be revealed on Collector Night at New York Toy Fair...

From The Fwoosh:

Toy Fair is just around the corner but is there any chance of you thowing us a bone before then in regards to the Club Infinite Earths Subscription. Maybe a look at the Poison Ivy figure or the alternate Starman head?

We will have more to reveal at Collector Night at NYTF!

Fan's of Mattel's Movie Masters line will be loving 2012. Comic-x-aminer.com has gotten a hold of some information from Mattel stating that, if you collect all the figures in the 6" Movie Master Dark Knight Rises line, you'll have all the pieces to assemble a working, projecting BATSIGNAL!!!

Check it out: http://comics-x-aminer.com/2012/01/21/new-details-for-the-dark-knight-rises-toys-by-mattel/

Mattel will have the figures on display at Toy Fair in February.

Although this hasn't officially been revealed by Mattel, to my knowledge, here is another Arkham City 2-pack, which I came across on eBay by complete fluke - Batman and Catwoman.

There are a few auctions for this set up on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATMAN-CATWOMAN-COLOR-variant-Mattel-DC-Arkham-City-Legacy-Edition-Figure-MOC-/310375886094?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4843d82d0e) right now. Matty did say two or three weeks ago that they'd be revealing the next DC 2-packs soon, so my guess is this is one of those soon-to-be-revealed 2-packs Matty was talking about.

There are going to apparently be regular and silver varients to the set, as I found auctions (http://www.ebay.com/itm/CATWOMAN-BATMAN-Batman-Arkham-City-DC-Legacy-Video-Game-Variant-Figures-2012-/120851545183?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c23503c5f)for both.

. In their latest Ask Matty session, The Fwoosh asked the following:

I know that Toy Fair is right around the corner, but could we possibly get a preview of what the new DC Club IE figure packaging looks like?

With Mattel's answer being:

You will see this at NYTF!

Yet another reason to stayed glued to the net and watch this year's Toy Fair coverage! :D

. A new rumor has surfaced over on the RTM Message Boards claiming DC All-Stars Wave 3 is supposed to, so far, consist of New 52 Batman, New 52 Green Lantern and Brainiac. Take this rumor with a grain of salt. More info as it becomes available.

Mattel has supplied an update regarding what we can expect for our favorite DC Comics-based toyline in 2012, thanks to Matty Collector's Facebook page, read on...

DC Fans of all ages!

Hey gang. With only a few days left until NYTF’s collector night (Sundayt, Feb 12th from 3-6 Eastern, Press only event) I wanted to give our customers and fans a head’s up on some of the great new DC toys coming out this year!

First and foremost is an update on our fantastic 6” lines. Now there has been some confusion between what will be at retail and what is online in 2012. A lot of this is due to having to change gears so quickly last summer right before SDCC when the club was formed. But here is a rundown on what to expect:

DC All Stars is our 2012 retail line for the 6” scale. Throughout 2012, look for this line to be similar to the 6” line in 2006 and 2007. Mostly figures from the world of Batman and Superman which will include all new figures and re-releases. There will be non Bat and non Supes figs as too, as well as the occasional collector aimed figure (like the Orange Lantern in the first mix!) but for the most part, this line is aimed at new collectors, casual collectors, moms and kids. Not the hard core collector. For this demographic, look for the online figures in Club Infinite Earths only on Mattycollector.com!

Starting this April, every month will have one all new 6” figure aimed directly at the hard core collector! This club will also include a quarterly oversized figure and if you bought the full year sub last summer, you will also get an exclusive Metron with chair available from your club sign- up fee. This figure will not be sold or made available any other way.

There has definitely been some confusion online about the difference between the two lines. Hopefully the info above helps clarify. Also, we are well aware that when fans bought into the club we had very little to show in terms of figures and packaging and fans put their trust in us. A lot of this had to do with the very quick turn around when we created the club. But now we have a ton of new figures and the packaging to show off in NY!(but no, at this point we do not have an exact number of new figs to reveal, a lot of this comes down to what can make it to the show).

The Club figures will be in a fantastic new window box with all figures posed in a neutral “waiting for the bus” pose as fans have asked for. Additionally, we just locked in a deal with DC to have some top top artists create original art for the packaging! We are so excited to show this off in NY! Our DC fans have been VERY patient and we will do all we can to live up to the expectations and trust fans have put in us!

In addition to the 6” figures, we will have the first look at the fantastic collector lines for the new Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises”! Look for some amazing new Movie Masters and a great pack in bonus never seen before!

There will also be new Young Justice, Action League and a few other surprises we can’t wait to share!

Keep those questions coming on our Ask Matty forums. Nothing is more important than our customers and fans and we want to ensure you have the most up to date info. I personally could not be more excited over Club Infinite Earth. This is the big one. We know fans took a big chance on CIE at SDCC and now that we are closer to the first figure being released in April, man are we waiting to knock your socks off. This is the selection of 6” DC figures you have always wanted. Everyone one is hand picked based on your posts online and feedback. With your continued support, this Club should be everything the fans and customers have wanted it to be!

See you all online after our big Collector Night this Sunday!

Scott

New 52 Superman
New 52 Flash
Supergirl
Red Robin

We now have a list of figures being included in Wave 3, they are:

Batgirl
Batman (JSA)
Hawkman
Steel

I am currently trying to see if anyone at Mattel knows if Batgirl is another Barbara Gordon or a rerelease of Cassandra Cain from DCSH.

Q: Thank you so much for coming through with DC IE sub, these are the types of characters that we want to see in our sub. A lot of the figures were still TBD at Toy Fair, do you know when the exact release dates will be revealed?

A: Atrocitus will be in April, Starman in May, Mirror Master in June, Flash in July and Pam in August. The remainder have not be announced.

Hey, DC Fans! Feast your eyes on the first 6" Young Justice adult hero - Batman! (http://networkedblogs.com/v1fYH) Coming our way this year, it's not surprising Batman would be the first member of the Justice League to make it into Mattel's 6" DC line, with The Dark Knight Rises only a few more months away, Mattel and DC undoubtidly want as many Dark Knights crowding toy shelves as possible in the coming months.

The packaging is the regular window-style other 6" Young Justice figures have been packed in up to this point, the art focusing heavily on the upcoming second season of Young Justice.

The figure itself looks quite impressive, encompassing all the regular DCUC-esque articulation fans have come to love from Mattel's DC offerings over the last 5 years, and features the first over-the-shoulder cape to be offered on a Mattel DC figures.

By way of accessories, Batman comes complete with a building display stand, twin batarangs and a smoke bomb.

All in all, this figure looks good and will look even better alongside YJ Robin on your shelf. Next in the 6" Justice League offerings should be Green Arrow, in my opinion, one with a functioning quiver and bow - and don't skimp Mattel, you did it with YJ Red Arrow and Artimeus, so we know you can give us a Green Arrow in the same vein.

In any case, enjoy the pictures, thanks to Action Figure Insider, and keep your eyes peeled, Bats will be hitting shelves in the coming months, and, by the looks of things, will be totally worth the price tag!

Enjoy!

Hey, DC Fans! The Fwoosh has a nice look at the next 6" Young Justice figure, coming soon to a toy store near you - Kid Flash (http://thefwoosh.com/2012/03/first-look-young-justice-batman-and-kid-flash)!

Joining the current Young Justice members offered in 6" - Red Arrow, Superboy, Robin & Artemus, this latest Mattel offering has a great sculpt, paint work and articulation and does some serious justice to his animated counterpart.

Walley comes complete with removeable goggles, as well as a pair of snap-on accessories, a whirlwind and speed-bolt affect. Both are easily attatchable and are made of a very soft rubber.

Once again, Mattel has done a bang-up job with their latest Young Justice offering. Whether he is better than the DCUC Wave 7 figure from 2008, I can't really say, as both have their strengths and cater to two different sculpting demographics, but this one still looks like a winner to me.

Look for Kid Flash to hit retail in the coming months!

Check out what Mattel to say during their latest Q&A with our friends over at TheFwoosh:

Q: Since Larfleeze recently got the boot from the first wave of DC All-Stars, can we count on him showing up in a later assortment? That was the figure a lot fans wanted the most!

A: Potentially. We tooled up most of the figures, so we’ll look to release them at some point in one form or another if possible.

Q: Will there be a 6-inch DC exclusive item for SDCC this year?

A: All of our SDCC items will be revealed in April.

Q: Matty, we still have not heard anything new about when and how that Super Powers inspired Penguin that was shown at the New York con will be released. Will you please let us know now? It has been several months since we were promised some news it and I want that figure!

A: For now, you’ll need to wait. Sorry. We have a spot for him in our 2013 line due to some shuffling around of characters.

Can't say I'm too sad about that. I think the 52 Batman that is coming out will be my last purchase, and it's coming from BBTS. I got what I needed out of DCUC.

I would like Matty to lose the DC license and someone else pick it up eventually. I'd like to see what another company would do with it. The line has lacked imagination, in my opinion.

Check out what Mattel had to say regarding the cancellation of their Young Justice toyline and what we can expect from the company and their DC offerings for the coming months...

Toy Fans,

You may have heard that the time is nearing for the end of the Young Justice toy line. While we’re as bummed as you are, we want to be sure you know this doesn’t in any way mean the end of DC toys from Mattel. In fact, it’s quite the opposite!

Next month kicks off not one, but two new lines: our DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription service dedicated to true collector characters you won’t find at retail. The first shipment goes out in May and features an all-new 6” Golden Age The Flash figure. If you missed out on this awesome subscription, a limited quantity will also be available at MattyCollector.com on May 15th at 9am PT. Then, in late May, head to your local retailer and you’ll find The Dark Knight Rises, a kid-targeted Batman™ line. And for 2013, we’re planning an innovative collector-aimed line coming to retail stores.

Keep your eye on this spot and we’ll have more details as they’re available. Our partnership with DC is stronger than ever and we couldn’t be more excited for all the amazing new collector and kid toys to come!

-Matty

All I can say is, just hurry up and give us Larfleeze, Matty!

This Justice Society member is finally available through Mattel's exclusive online club and will start shipping out next month!

Featuring new packaging, an awesome chromed up helmet, a great sculpt and even greater paint job, this is the Golden Age Flash every DC fan has been waiting for!

No accessories are included with the figure, but he'll still fit in VERY nicely amongst your other DCUC characters!

The perfect figure to kick off this highly anticipated movement by Mattel! Look for Jay Garrick to start hitting club member mail boxes and online at the Matty Collector website starting this May!

Does this mean that Supergirl/She-Ra Two-Pack was cancelled?

If I had to guess, I'd say the loss of retail support may be due more because of the prices they charge for these figures and Kids just not being able to afford them than anything else. Although I could be wrong.

The Supergirl/She-Ra two-pack was released along with the Green Lantern/Zodac and Bizzaro/Faker two pack. They are just rather hard to find and were not released in Canadian retail. However this dc vs motu line was cancelled.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to save big time and pray that I can find them, just like the Skeletor and He-Man sets that never made it to Canadian Retail.

I'd probably have better luck getting the eventual re-issue of She-Ra, but then again I'm still stuck without a single MotUC figure at all. Not in my budget at the moment sadly.

The figure sports a neat see-through sculpt and an equally nice paint job that does his comic counterpart justice. His sole accessory, however, is simply an interchangeable head.

Still, this is a nice looking figure and one I was very excited to be recieving after the figure was unvailed at last year's SDCC!

Coming this July to DCIE and DC Fan's alike is the next offering from Mattel - Rocket Red (http://thefwoosh.com/2012/05/first-look-dc-club-infinite-earths-rocket-red)! And The Fwoosh has our first in-depth look at the figure!

One of the oversized figures being released through the club and MattyCollector.com, this is one awesome piece fan's have been demanding in the DC line for quite some time.

He is based off the DCUC Wave 7 Atom Smasher figure and sports white metallic paint, great articulation and awesome little wrist blasters!

The figure pays homage to its comic counterpart very well, although an interchangeable head would've been nice, as was done with Starman.

This is a figure I am eagerly awaiting the release of, as I am a BIG fan of both Geoff Johns Rocket Red Brigade and the JLI. If I had to pick one thing to complain about however, it would be that this figure should've been the character comic fans are most familiar with, Rocket Red #7 - Dmitri Pushkin. This figure is based, however, off Rocket Red #1 - Josef Denisovich, who wasn't in the comics all that long.

In any case, this is an awesome looking figure and I seriously can't wait to add it to my DCUC/DCIE/DCAS *whew* shelf this summer!

Enjoy!

Check out what Mattel had to say regarding our favorite DC figures during their latest Q&A session with TheFwoosh...

Q: Matty, the New 52 Batman is a great looking figure, but is there any reason he didn’t get double joints, or at least double knees? He seems to fit the “character selection” and “need for all-new tooling” that you guys have talked about when it comes to adding articulation…

A: This was a design choice.

Q: So, Jay Garrick was the first Club IE figure and, from what we can tell, he sold out really fast. Did he perform to expectations in regards to what is needed to grow confidence in the DC club?

A: He performed well, but the real indicator will be how well the 2013 sub sells.

Q: This is for the DC Retail line in 2013 – can you please confirm that the Four Horsemen will continue to do sculpting and design work for these offerings? In the past you said that the figures planned for retail in 2013 will “work with our existing collections” and that is just not possible without the 4H at the helm. Thanks.

A: Yes they will.

Thoughts on this latest Mattel Q&A?

I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather someone other than 4H get a go at figures. Switch it up. The DC figures for the most part seem boring and uninspired, and 4H seemed to have hit their creative peak. But then, I also want Mattel to die, or at least lose the DC license, so what do I know?

To be fair. I think it's mostly Mattel's decision. Remember the Kalibak figure back in DCUC series6 ? Or Gorilla Grodd from series2? 4HM sculpted accessories for Grodd and Kalibak was suppose to have more weapons. Both figures' accessories were taken away by Mattel because of the cost (How can we forget about Nekron's scythe!)

As for the new 52 figures. I too felt that they should have went for a new body with double jointed knees and shoulders. I'm not saying that I bought a new 52 Batman when I was in China last month but if I did bought a new 52 Batman figure from Mattel and compare it to DCD's release, I would say Mattel's version looks weak and a complete waste of time and resources. Articulations are closer enough for both figures but the sculpt is just too weak.

pud333

Mattel is about 95% of the problem when it comes to how these toys have just stagnated. I'm sure if 4H could, they would sculpt every figure from scratch and not reuse anything, but that's not good for business. That said, when you look at what Mattel has allowed 4H to do, it's... boring. I just think the line could use a new set of sculptors. Especially on the female sculpts, because while they are adequate, they really aren't that great IMO for the most part. The only female sculpt that I've really liked from top to bottom was maybe Supergirl.

But yeah, Mattel is content to just make franken figures. I mean when you look at Mirror Master, he doesn't scream "Wow, they really put a lot of effort into him!"

Anyway, I'm just ranting. The only reason why I still bothered to pick up a few more DCUC is because DC is my favorite, and I can't stand not having figures of my favorites. That said, I've pretty much sworn off secondary characters like MM. I just don't want to give Mattel any more of my money than I have to. Especially since these toys, when found at retail, are getting more and more expensive, for a toy that, basically, hasn't evolved or changed since DCSH. Heck, some of the best DCUC figures were reused from DCSH, like Supergirl and Lex Luthor. Revamping the line with a new name and new packaging doesn't make me more excited for the figures.

You know what they say: You can put lipstick on a pig...

Honestly I think none of the new figures being shown has that wow factor. Mattel, as usual, plays it too safe and reuses tons of body parts. Uncle Sam basically consist of a new head sculpt and no accessories. The body is from Joker/ Gentlemen Ghost which means he can't throw a damn punch like he did in Batman Brave and the Bold.
I think Mattel should really consider investing on a completely new sculpted action figure to WOW the collectors into supporting the sub. I mean Poison Ivy is great but that's only 1 figure which was announced last year. And not everyone is a Lantern fan so the multiple Lantern characters can be a hit or miss to the audience.

At the end, even though there are fans wanting to support the sub. $18 + tax + shipping for a 6" figure with none to minimum accessories is very steep. I would buy a DCUC Martian Manhunter @ Winner in an instance because $7.99 + tax is very acceptable. I think it would have worked better it Mattel was offer 2packs so to lessen the shipping cost. And a smaller packaging too.

TDKR Batman looks great except for his mouth. New 52 Wonder woman looks like a big improvement over the previous DCUC WW. For the first time in a long time I am actually excited about something from Mattel. Preordered both already!

I just want to say that while the prototypes look good it just seems like Mattel has lost confidence in the DC license and has no idea what to do with it.
From DC Superheroes to DC Universe Classics and then the ill fated DC All Stars and now DC Unlimited. It seems like Mattel has no direction. We get 3 Batmen and there's no promising in what the next series is going to look like. If Mattel really wants to tap into these alternate looks of popular characters they should show some dedication with at least a Dark Knight Returns Superman and a Two-Face or Joker to show that it's not another Supermen&Batmen/DCSH line.

Yeah, it's spastic. Whenever a product goes under several rebrandings in such a short time, it's a clear sign there is no direction.

We'll see how these new figures are; some of them legitimately look good, but the final product may not be the same. We'll see.

Hey, DC Fans! For those wondering, it looks like Toys R Us Canada will start carrying the DC All-Star, DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines in the coming months!

I sent the TRU Canada team a message on their Facebook page asking if these lines will be available at TRU Canada and they quickly responded back with:

Hey John, sounds like this is on the horizon. Check back closer to the holidays. Thanks!

So, as the Holiday's get closer and closer, I'll be keeping tabs on this and will be posting an update when available!

For those wondering if the newly revealed Batman Unlimited Dark Knight Returns Batman utilizes parts from MOTU, itsalltrue.net (http://www.itsalltrue.net/?p=20216) has uncovered the truth...

Twitter user Poe Ghostal asked the Four Horsemen straight out if this new Batman figure uses parts from past MOTU figures and the 4H responded as follows:

Yes and no. Parts of him [DKR Batman] are MotU re-use and some are not.

Okay, so the answer was kind of vauge. Thankfully, Toy Guru shed some further light on this mystery on the Matty Collector forums:

I actually checked with the DC team. This is not a Batman fig using the MOTU buck. It is in “scale” to MOTUC (in order to create that unique one time Dark Knight Returns look) but the only MOTUC part it uses is the shoulders. All other parts are brand new. We were happy to loan the use of the shoulders as a one time help for the DC team, but as always, MOTU classics parts will only be used on MOTUC toys.

So there you have it, new shoulders and that's it...

As a small side note: On their Twitter account, The Four Horsemen also went on to address the figures height by saying simply:

Don’t worry about the height. He looks awesome.

And I couldn't agree more! With The Dark Knight Returns on the cusp of its 26th anniversary and the new animated flick hitting stores in about 40 days, I seriously can't wait for this piece to hit retail!

During their latest Q&A with Mattel, itsalltrue.net uncovered the total number of figures that we can expect from both the Batman Unlimited and DC Unlimited lines in 2013...

From the Ask Matty Aug. 15th session:

DCClassics.Com Asks: For collectors looking to budget, how many waves/assortments is Mattel planning for the Batman & DC Unlimited retail lines in the next few months?

We are not ready to announce that yet as we need to align with retailers first.

Editor’s Note: The triumvirate “Matty Justice League” answered a similar question yesterday on the Mattel forums. The response to that answer was decidely less vague: “We are planning a total of 12 figs in the Batman Unlimited line and 10 in the DC Comics Unlimited line for 2013″.

With only 10 figures being released in the second half of this year and only 22 (so far) on tap for next year, DC Collectors can probably skip a few toy hunts for the forseeable future.

And so, there we have it. Nice to know the number, but hopefully the remaining slots won`t be filled by more Batman figures. :p

Thanks to Mattel and itsalltrue.net!

TDKR Batman looks great. But the Batman Unlimited line better not be filled with too many repaints or reissues... So long as they do 90% all new toys, I'll be happy.

Here is the latest Q&A session conducted by itsalltrue.net with Matty Collector...

DCClassics.Com Asks: On the Mattycollector forums, Matty Justice League said that Dark Knight Rises product will continue into 2013. Does that continuance currently include more Movie Masters?

The Dark Knight Rises line will continue as primarily a kid line at Toys R Us, but there will be a Movie Masters 3 pack with Batman from each of the three movies.

DCClassics.Com Asks: Will the 2013 Club Infinite Earths subscription still use the artwork of Mike Thompson to be consistent with the 2012 packaging?

Yes. That is the plan at this time, but anything can change.

DCClassics.Com Asks: The Red Robin & Superboy figures have come out quite a bit taller (and debatedly out of scale) than the figures as originally shown. For example, Superboy Prime is bigger than Superman. What happened there?

MattyJusticeLeague will look into this and see what he can find.

Thanks to itsalltrue.net!

Here is the latest from The Fwoosh's last Q&A session with Matty Collector:

I know that villains and females are coming to the fore for requests in the club IE, what females do you feel are the most outstanding at this point? Do you have a list of 5-10 that you feel NEED to be done in order for the Universe to feel complete?

We do have a few females that come up more than others, Ice, Fire, Huntress, Liberty Bell and Granny Goodness all come up a lot.

Now that we are getting Uncle Sam and Doll Man(!) in Novemeber, I am really excited to get more FF characters like the Ray, Black Condor and Human Bomb! What about the Phantom Lady though? Do you think we stand a better chance of seeing the modern or classic take on her?

You tell us! Which would fans like to see!

Well, there you have it! Hopefully Huntress and Granny Goodness make their DCIE debut sometime in the near future. In regards to Matty's second answer, which Freedom Fighter would you guys like to see Mattel make next?

Thanks to The Fwoosh for sharing!

Hey, DC Fans! Would've had this posted early Saturday morning, but ended up having to deal with a family emergency and couldn't get near a computer or wireless device to save my life, until today!

There have been some mixed feelings over the reveals of DCIE Captain Marvel Jr. and Grant Morrison's Red Hood at this weekend's NYCC, but certainly everyone will be excited to be adding DCIE Huntress to their shelves in the coming year!

That's right, for those that haven't heard, a prototype DCIE Huntress, with her crossbow, was revealed at NYCC 2012 on Saturday morning to very positive reviews!

More as this story develops, but it won't be long now before Huntress is finally part of the DCUC line! :D

Note: Although the figure is still in the early prototype stage, she appears to be based off the Jim Lee version featured in the hugely popular 2003 Hush story arc!

Thanks to Shane of Shoebox Heroes for sending me the pictures on Saturday!

Just on my way out, but I wanted to get this up before I left. Check out this awesome Fwoosh review of DCIE Elasti-Girl (http://thefwoosh.com/2012/10/first-look-dc-club-infinite-earths-elasti-girl), the second over sized figure offered through Mattel's mail away club!

She uses parts from DCUC Wave 8 C&C Giganta and comes complete with a shruken down version of herself!

Now all we need is for Mattel to give us Mento and the Chief! :D

Look for both Elasti-Girl and Poison Ivy to be hitting your doorstep this month!

Enjoy!

More from this past weekend's NYCC comes to us in the form of the next two figures being offered through Mattel's Club Black Freighter - Nite-Owl and Silk Spectre!

Nite-Owl, who appears to be based off the DCUC Owlman sculpt, will come complete with a grappling hook and some sort of projectile. Based off the Daniel Dreiberg version of the character, Mattel seems to have done an awesome job, similar with Rorschach, capturing the essence of this character as he appeared within the Watchmen comic!

Silk Spectre, like Dr. Manhattan, is another story. With poor paintwork, a bad mix of solid and translucent plastics and a sloppy overall display, the figure, based off Laurel Juspeczyk, is a disappointment. However, fans should remember the putty is used in these shots simply for stability purposes and will not be included on the final figure.

Now that we've seen 4 of the 6 pieces being offered through this club, I am glad I never signed up. With two good and two not-so-good figures shown thus far, ending up with 50% in good figures is not a number I like.

Hopefully the final figures to be revealed, The Comedian and Ozymandias will change my tune.

Thanks to Shane, once again, of Shoebox Heroes for snapping and sending me the shots!

Enjoy!

AFI has some awesome early shots of DCIE Lead (http://networkedblogs.com/DVE1s), the the third oversized figure for the 2012 subscription program!

Available in December of this year, Lead is build using the C&C Darkseid buck, which may seem too big, but works well considering it was the best option Mattel had. Lead doesn't feature the diecast hands or clip-on accessories of the previous Metal Men, but his tunic is a rubber over piece more like a bib then skirt, allowing the figure to retain all its articulation.

DCIE members can expect Lead in their mail box this December, while non-subscribers can get him off MattyCollector.com!

Just two small updates today...

If anyone was wondering why the Mattypalooza panel at NYCC 2012 didn't include anything regarding DCUC/DCIE, Toy Guru (http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3441044647/m/7961015387)posted on the Matty Collector boards that the DCUC team was not at NYCC, thus they couldn't do a panel.

Also, it was also announced on the boards by Toy Guru (http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3441044647/m/5561022387)that the guns included with DCIE Red Hood will be red to make this version of the character more comic accurate.

And finally, also over at the Matty Collector boards, Toy Guru (http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3441044647/m/9841052387) has admitted that they are still looking for a home for the Flashpoint Plastic Man figure revealed early in 2012, but that, as of right now, no plans have been made to release him.

Again, not much, but some stuff to think about regardless.

The Fwoosh has another first look up for DC Fan's today - DCIE Uncle Sam with Doll Man! (http://thefwoosh.com/2012/10/first-look-dc-club-infinite-earths-uncle-sam-and-doll-man) Being released in November through Mattel's mail away club, Uncle Sam and Doll Man kick off another classic, and much wanted, team in 6-inch scale - The Freedom Fighters!

The figure, for the most part, is made up from parts taken from past DCUC figures - Gentlemen Ghost and Joker, with some new pieces thrown in to make him the character he is.

This figure looks great, and his face and head sculpt really capture the essence of the classic character. His face is full of personality and, the longer hair and beard visage, reminds me of the characters appearance in Infinite Crisis.

Although he doesn't come with any accessories, Uncle Sam does come packed with a second Freedom Fighter member - Dollman. He is small, but not as small as the tiny Elasti-Girl figure included with Mattel's DCIE October offering. Although Doll Man features no articulation, his paint is nicely applied and he really fits in well with the larger Uncle Sam figure.

Another win from Mattel! It seems like only yesterday I'd gotten an e-mail from Matty showing the figure off to those that signed up on their mailing list, and now, he'll be hitting mail box's in a little over a month!

Look for Uncle Sam and Doll Man, along with John Constantine if memory serves me correctly, to be arriving in mail box's in November!

Last Wednesday, the DC Collectibles Facebook page launched a new round of Spoiler Alert. On the first day, a heavily redacted, closely shot photograph was posted of a brand new DC Collectible. Every day following that, a new photo was released, teasing fans to the new figures identity.

Some fans correctly guessed the new figures identity right away, but for those who didn't, the mystry has now been solved...
